If something is hot enough, you don't have to advertise. You make it hot, among other ways, through the trade press.

Well, a lot can be said against the trade press, but completely dismissing them... I have to be with Daniel here.

I think divorcement from marketing might be a good idea, once the requirements are known.

I kinda wish they would announce when I can get cd's for things that are already certified. And is there a release date anywhere for 10g database? News and Events on metalink seems to think 9iR2 is hot stuff.

Some would argue those old versions of Oracle _were_ beta's :-)
