I stand corrected ... my imagination wasn't as fertile as I might have wished. Perhaps I can still blame it on the Percodans. Having acknowledged it this I'll restate my feeling that it is highly likely this is a case of bad design. But yes there may be a rare exception where it is required. ;-)
