Good luck! w3c has some simple tutorials on xml, xsd, and xsl at http://www.w3schools.com/xml/default.asp and Oracle has white papers and examples on XML at otn.oracle.com. If you have not registered for otn, I suggest that you do so (it's free) then go to the XML resource.
