I was just re-using a solution from an oracle analyst, without actually examining the sql in question.

Forgive me for thinking that by just setting a trivial parameter in the init.ora a workable solution could be obtained. It couldn't be that simple, right?

It was worth a shot, and it required very few brain cycles on my part.
