File creation time

Back in the days of Oracle7, there was an IO_BLOCK_SIZE (or similar) parameter you could set that would greatly decrease the time it took to create large tablespace files.

They renamed it for Oracle8, but I forget what it was. Perhaps something with a CC in it. Is there one for Oracle 9? I've taken a peek in the v$parameter table and can't find anything there that would indicate it.

The parameter just changes the blocksize writes only during tablespace creation.

Any clues?

Thanks,
