Dunno about JL but here is something for you to think about, instead of spending your time trying to post "examples" to support old notions:

In Oracle and abstracting abnormal cases, you CANNOT cause a physical I/O that does not ALSO cause a logical I/O.

Tune ONLY for logical I/O and I can GUARANTEE you the physical I/O will take care of itself.
