WE8ISO8859P1 on Linux??

I realize Suse 9.0/Oracle 9.2.0.4 is not a supported config, but when
I tried creating a database with WE8ISO8859P1 it returned an "invalid
character set error".  Works with US7ASCII.  What is the standard
character set these days with 9i on Linux anyway?  Is WE8.. supported
on Linux?  That's the character set I've always used.
