How to restrict connections but allow export

If a to a "startup restrict" in order to avoid connections and keep the DB in a specific state for full export, the export fails. The exp utility does not seem to use connections as sysdba.

What can I do to allow export to take place while the system is in restricted mode?

Thanks

PS:
Other ideas:
a) shutdown the listener and start the exp on the DB host? b) set the DB readonly? (won't probably work as desired) Received on Sun Dec 28 2003 - 18:17:04 CST
