Just a small hint: Have a look at the PFILE parameter definition in the dbstart script. It is not correct for your version of Oracle (which uses by default the new SPFILE and not the INIT-file).

I NEVER would try to do that. Use the documented way to move your data after the installation of the new server, e.g. EXP / IMP.
