From my experience, this is not always the case.. Sometimes a session would be done rolling back (if not at all), but still hang around, often holding up an MTS server... unfortunately, in those cases even an MTS server has to be killed.. recently filed a bug with Oracle.

We use Oracle 8.1.7.4 on Solaris 2.7 boxes remove NSPAM to email Received on Wed Dec 10 2003 - 15:24:23 CST
