It is unfortunate you are using NAS. Network Appliance I presume. Only Network Appliance can fix your performance issues. I am serious about that. They tout their hardware as "black boxes that dont need to be maintained" but thats all BS.

You cant spread the I/O on their machines. Its all done "automagically" with their WAFFL (aka RAID 4) "feature". Received on Fri Dec 05 2003 - 16:03:00 CST
