That was my logic until yesterday. My TAR was refused due to lack of cert. I was instructed to verify the Agent certs via Metalink Certs page. Selected the OEM product group and the Agent product and confirmed that all Oracle components are not certified together. 9.2 Agents are only certified to Sol.SPARC-8. The tech had no news on Sol9 dates, but did confirm that Data Guard 9.2 has a Sol9 cert. I've since lived with/gotten beyond some errors and seen some functional OEM notification results but am still testing the boundaries.
