9.2 Intelligent Agent issues on Solaris 9

In an attempt to stay in front of the tech curve, we've built an environment on Solaris 9 and Oracle 9.2 & 8.1.7 (in production). While building a supporting OEM config & events, I've learned that no intelligent agent is certified on Solaris 9 - OUCH! When I start the 9i agent I get the message:

"Required configuration file snmp_ro.ora not found" I've checked the basics to get this to work but my buddies at Oracle won't discuss a non-cert platform. "agentctl start agent" does generate the file snmp_ro.ora and the rw file in
$ORACLE_HOME/network/admin. $ORACLE_HOME/network/agent and .../admin
is owned by my oracle 920
account, ora920. I see the dbsnmp process running and the
$ORACLE_HOME/bin/dbsnmp file looks like:
-rwsr-s--- 1 root oinstall 3250936 Oct 9 10:39

/u01/app/oracle/product/9.2.0/bin/dbsnmp Has anyone pulled this config together? Received on Wed Dec 03 2003 - 15:23:58 CST
