Raw device 8.1.7.4.0 Linux

I have Oracle 8.1.7.4.0 set up on Debian Linux. Kernel of this system comes 
from redhat advanced serwer 3.0 (2.4.21pre1-redhat-4.el-i386). I set up
a lvm and raw device on this system. Afer few days I have block corruption
on tablespaces. Just before this I have ORA-00600 error. Any idea what is
wrong.
