Home -> Community -> Usenet -> c.d.o.server -> error: ORA-00101: invalid specification for system parameter DISPATCHERS
I'm using Oracle 9i (9.0.1) on a Dell 1750 (dual Xeon 3.0 GHz, 1GB
ram, etc) running Redhat Linux 7.3 (2.4.18-3smp). I have just
finished the installation and I am having trouble starting the
database - Each time I try I get the same error: "ORA-00101: invalid
specification for system parameter DISPATCHERS"
I have googled for a resolution to this problem with no success. I have grep'd through the linux related Oracle documentation for error code ORA-00101 but have not found anything that helps me resolve the problem.
Any pointers or suggestions on how to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated! If more information is needed, please let me know!
Thanks,
Bob Yeaw
