Great point Mladen.

So, which is best for say, a 20 gig Oracle database?

A - 100% caching with db_cache_size = 25g

B - A small db_cache_size with solid-state disk?

Essentially, the question is:

If LIO is also expensive, then would PIO on a super-fast RAM-SAN be a better choice?
