Hi Margie,

This is an excellent book, i have read about 50% of it so far and also have followed the many threads promoting it on the ORACLE-L list that have discussed it. Cary Millsap is also regular contributor there. The book is not just aimed at the techie as the first and third parts can be read by non technical people. Cary and his team have developed a repeatable process to tune Oracle based around being able to collect the correct response data at the correct time. He takes you through how to identify the "right" business issues to deal with from a tuning perspective and also how to collect the correct data, even how to estimate the costs to fix and benefits to the business and also the estimated improvement. Anyway it is a good book.

hth

kind regards

Pete
