I'm not too far into, but I've already used some of the techniques/processes in my systems to increase performance. From what I've read to date, the book has a lot of common sense information, plus the trace file stuff is great. As with anything though, you only get back what you put into it -- just like the 'wonder diets'.

Gets my vote, though.
