well, I was looking for an 'essbase' comparison expert answer but I guess I'm in the wrong forum. We all know that Oracle is pretty much capable of everything so my question was more geared towards Essbase. I even posted request for info to Essbase directly and I have yet to receive an answer. I will follow up with a message if I do.

thx all,
Cosmin

P.S. Yeah, that's my inclination also, re "vendor-app certification" but unfortunately realities of the world are different. I once started working for a company who, just 2 weeks prior to my hiring, purchased a few hundred thousand dollars worth of Essbase crap, only to, after hiring me, I showed them a quick and dirty, 15 minutes OLAP component that plugged into Delphi (or what have you), did the exact thing they needed. But, they "had to" stick with their huge investment which unfortunately, they ended up dropping approx 6 months later. Received on Tue Nov 18 2003 - 11:19:07 CST
