Hi all

Currently I have a production database server running oracle 8.1.7.4. with 2 schemas which are identical with a fail over server exactly the same, both servers are solaris 64 bit. Now we are planning to implement the following:

  1. production server running oracle same as before
  2. Fail over server running oracle same as before
  3. Using veritas file extensions?

so I have server A which will be production and server B which will be fail and the data will be copied daily into the 3 oracle databases. My question is how do we access the server on the file system/veritas I don't understand how it can be access e.g. create table as select. etc they are in the same disk array, I have been searching for docs on this but I can't find much
any help comments etc would be great

Thanks
