Hi Arménio,

As I've just mentioned to Joe in the "Copy a DB from Solaris to HP-UX" thread, you may want to consider Oracle Replication, Oracle Streams or Quest Shareplex as viable options to compliment Export/Import. Using just an export/import is not a viable option if you want to avoid extended downtimes.

That or wait until 10g when various new features will make many of these issues so much easier to manage ;)
