More that I found (again, not my post):

There is no problem with running the Linux version of the client, and for that matter, the complete RDBMS on a FreeBSD platform. Just make sure that the Linux emulation module is loaded into your kernel.

You can even link your own software against the Linux shared object.

It probably is not supported by Oracle, but it does work perfectly.
