I do not know exactly this one, but on all multiprocessor boxes that I've seen, I could see number of processors during a boot sequence and these are definitely physical ones. Maybe you just need to unchecked in BIOS something like "quick boot sequence" or just push some buttons asociated with "show boot sequence" (works on various HPs) and you will see your CPUs.
