Is there any difference on using 8.1.7 instead of 8.1.0 ?

I'm trying to figure out what features are 8.1.7-specific and cannot find anything useful on metalink or in the oracle doc.

Right now, my instances are at 8.1.0 and I'm considering going to 8.1.7 but I wanna make sure that it won't hurt performance. I know 8.1.7 should be set, but it might change the way the optimizer is choosing its execution plans. I can't find a document telling me WHY 8.1.7 should be set.
