I would dispute that based on benchmarking we performed just this year with the latest
hardware and configurations.

If your specialists can point to numbers to back up their assertions I'd be interested in
reviewing them. Until then it seems highly unlikely RAID 5 will ever match the performance
of 1+0 or 0+1. I think these guys were just making it up as they went along. But I am open
to anyone that has numbers supporting the proposition.
