Oracle 9iAS Portal Developer

Immediate need for a Technical Lead/Software Engineer position in Arlington, VA. We are looking for a candidate to perform the following tasks:

Individual will participate in the design, development, implementation and modification of software applications in an Oracle 9iAS Application Server environment. Position requires development of software portlets to run under 9iAS Portal, bug fixes, software and system troubleshooting, and general support to deployed systems. Understand and apply principles, concepts, practices and CMM/SEI-Level 2 standards, with a full and capable knowledge of industry and company practices. Will participate in design reviews covering new applications and modifications to existing ones.

Experienced individual should have background in: Software Engineering, Object-Oriented Design, Web-based software development, J2EE technologies specifically EJB, servlets and JSPs. Proficient with Oracle software with experience specifically using Oracle 9iAS version 2, Oracle Portal, Oracle Forms, Oracle JDeveloper, PL/SQL. Should have worked on the following platforms: SUN-Solarisand Windows 2000.

This person must be team player, demonstrate initiative and be very personable. Must have experience interacting directly with the client. Also, candidates need to have prior LEAD experience.
