Hello,

I want to increase the total SGA size above the current limit on a 32-bit Linux/Intel platform. This limit is about 1.7 Gb on a Suse SLES8 (United Linux V1.0) installation with Oracle 9iDB v. 9.2.0.3.

Now I consider Oracle9i Database Release 2 for Linux x86_64. That runs on the AMD Opteron 64-bit processor (the hammer). This should allow VLM, e.g. 4 Gb.

Can anyone advice if this assumption is correct?

Thanks, Edzard Pasma Received on Tue Oct 28 2003 - 03:14:19 CST
