Email Notifications of Events NOT Working...

I am using Oracle 9.2.0.1 on IBM AIX 5.1L

I created a EVENT which says that "whenever my ARCHIVE destination is FULL" email the DBA.......but I DO NOT get any such emails from OMS - wonder why. Also, when I create an event it shows status as REGISTERED. Can anyone help me out on this....? I also tried Metalink Note: 74269.1 which tests to see if SMTP works or not.....and I DO receive the email from the command line ....but it somehow does NOT work with OMS....? Can anyone help me out....?
