For one, you can address greater amounts of memory w/ the 64-bit
version. The 32 bit version only supports either 2 or 4 gigs of
memory. If you dont need more than that, 32 bit might be your best
bet.
In any case, do a 64-bit install os Solaris. Then, you can run either one. If you install the 32bit version of Solaris, you cant run 64-bit in the future if you decide it is for you.
