What does your TO_NUMBER function look like and why is it raising an
unhandled value error? 9i is less tolerant of some coding anomalies
that 8i might have let through. My bet is that you have an error in
your implementation of a TO_NUMBER function that 9i isn't going to let
you get away with. So let's see the code.
