Hello Mark. There's no contradiction: ECS date depends on the platform.
Note 250629.1 is for IBM OS/390 (z/OS) version(s) ALL - MPM, excluding OSDI, SGI Unix, IBM NUMA-Q DYNIX/ptx (Sequent), IBM AIX-Based Systems version(s) 4.3.3, NEC UX/4800, UnixWare (SCO), Data General Intel Unix, Fujitsu-Siemens RM200-600E Reliant Unix. For these platforms ECS date is still 31-DEC-2003.
Note 148451.1 is for Microsoft Windows XP, Microsoft Windows 2000, Linux x86, HP-UX PA-RISC, IBM OS/390 (z/OS) version(s) ALL - OSDI, excluding MPM, Microsoft Windows 98, HP Tru64 UNIX, HP Alpha OpenVMS, Solaris Operating System (x86), IBM AIX-Based Systems version(s) 5L, Fujitsu-Siemens BS2000/OSD, Solaris Operating System (SPARC), Microsoft Windows NT for Intel. For these platforms ECS date is postponed to 31-DEC-2004. Kind regards,
