Are you sure this is being used by the TNS Listener? (In which case you would fix the $ORACLE_HOME/network/admin/LISTENER.ora file.)

Usually what you describe is port 8080 being taken by the Apache HTTP listener. In which case you simply stop the Oracle >>>HTTP<<< Listener service (using services). You might also want to look through the appropriate docs at http://docs.oracle.com to determine the impact & implications of doing this.

You also want to read the DBA Guide (same docs location) to get a slight correction to your 'iunit.ora' statement. (Eg. they CAN be used.)

When it comes to networking, the specific implementation of TCP\IP is different between Windows and Unix, but the concepts are very, very similar. If you re-read those other 'Unix-oriented' posts you may find they probably also answer the question. (In other words, you could view the DOS underpinnings of Windows to be a mentally-challenged Unix - or vice versa if you don't ack. that Unix was there first <g>. And yes, the DOS aspects are still there, but the MS Bunny has been hiding them better these days..)
