Yup. I can say this now, but it's still sad whichever way you look at it: an awful lot of Oracle instructors (ie, instructors *at* Oracle) have about as much hunger for true experimentation and research as an over-fed elephant that's taking a well-earned snooze.

If it's in the course notes, it must be true (and that particular one about tables and indexes is still very definitely in the course notes).

Not all of them, thank the Lord. Maybe not even most of them. But it's very much a game of chance. Which at their prices, it shouldn't be.

And they have the cheek to call themselves a 'University'! No real University would ever be as complacent about getting at the truth.
