The best thing you can do is read a book on Oracle installs and concepts. It really does help. You can NOT learn enough Oracle to do anything useful with it by asking
questions in newsgroups. It just doesn't work.

BTW, 7.3.4 is a really, really old version. You'll find precious few doco on it...
