hi all,

currently, I am getting very good performance on a dual Xeon 2.4 ghz w/ 2 gb RAM and 4 Ultra320 disks (2 - 73 gb, 2 - 146 gb) out of Oracle 9i, on a Dell Workstation, don't laugh, on Windows XP Pro (no fault tolerance whatsoever on the disk drives).

I was wondering if anyone had anyone had any (good or bad) experience with SOFTWARE volume striping in WinXP, for performance reasons vis-a-vis the overall chances of the disk subsystem to fail under this configuration.

thx v. much,
