IMHO, ASSM and ADDM are of capital importance for Oracle. Without those, they stand no chance whatsoever in the Windows server market once M$ bundles SQL Server with the OS. And that WILL happen, probably around 2005-6.

However with these two technologies, Oracle has effectively pre-empted M$'s strike. "Just plug-in the disks, we'll manage them and the system". Brilliant!
