Hi Stan,

I would use ultraedit on windows or axe or maybe one of the free ones. On Unix you can use dd. In the past I have knocked up a simple C program also to stitch binary files together, perl will also do. I heard, although I am not a user that emacs can also be coaxed into editing binary files.
