The env for ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID are both correct. Any hint?

Hi all,

After I installed Oracle 9i on my RedHat 8, Oracle just worked fine. After I rebooted the machine,
I got the following error when starting sqlplus or oem server:

ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist Linux Error: 2: No such file or directory

I checked the system paramters, it seems fine: just as I did on installation.

Anybody has such exeperience? Thanks a lot!

Frank

Assuming kernel parameters are correct ... Did you start the database? How?
