Having SQL*Net functioning is NOT required to create or start a DB; as long as you are logged onto the actual system hosting Oracle. The only requirements are that ORACLE_SID & ORACLE_HOME be correct. Received on Wed Sep 17 2003 - 19:36:53 CDT
