Hi,
there's been a similar thread few weeks ago (Ed stevens "need another set of eyes"). The solution was to define the variable containing the name of the archive log as varchar(512). Happened only on windows. You seem to be on unix. But you never know...

Just try. Another hint would be to dbms_output what your cursor gets and to verify that.
