Nothing wrong with that. It's called I/O prototyping and was a widely used design technique back in the 80s. For applications that didn't need extensive design or linking with others. Never proved wrong. But you watch the OO brigade replace it with a ton of doco and "patterns". Which do essentialy the same thing. Except they take longer to implement, a lot more effort to document and are impossible to understand except to the original author. No wonder most of these guys are on hourly consultancy rates...
