That could help some, briefly, but you should consider creating the entire database from scratch for the 9i move. There are ways to fix your fet$ etc. tables, but they tend to be advanced and/or unsupported, and if you are upgrading in 3 months, bandages are appropriate.

Look around on metalink for table recreation scripts, and be sure and modify the output of those scripts for proper sizing and 9i features, as documented in the new features guide and the other posters advice.

Oracle is a harsh mistress. You really ought to get someone experienced in there for this big of a jump, the Oracle classes are good as far as they go, but you really need more than that and a few months on an obviously "deferred maintenance" db to do things right. As a newbie switching between 7 and 9 you are likely to be overwhelmed. RBO to CBO alone can be painful... Heck, I know one big shop with a dozen Oracle DBA's that had a 7 to 8i conversion stalled for half a year because they believed misinformation from a vendor.
