If you are willing to accept some inefficiencies, you can get V9.2 to "inter-operate" with a V7 database. What is needed is an 8i or V9.0.1 DB to act as intermediary; since 8i can talk to both V7 & V9.2. It is NOT elegant, but it does work. Desparate times call for desparate measures.
