Since you only have two seperate queries the following will work.

Select ptot, rtot
from (select sum(pp.amount) as ptot from pp, t where pp.pkey = t.record#) A,

     (select sum(pp.amount) as rtot from pp, t where pp.rkey = t.record#) B
