I have heard it said that Windows NT4 (2000 as well perhaps ?) needs to be shut down every 56 days (or similar) in order to prevent a crash.

Having said that, our NT gurus don't do this, and so far so good.

Mind you, they don't run anything essentail on the NT servers, just the network shares and file & print servers :o)
