Stupid questions but isis $DISPLAY set ?

>> do anyone know what it is the problem ?

I had this on an HP box, and logged a TAR, embarrasingly, I was told to set DISPLAY and try again - of course, it worked !

You have set up all the kernel parameters as well haven't you ? I think there is a problem - usually ora-0113 end of file etc - if the memeory parameters are not set.

If you have set them, have they been done in such a way that they are set on every subsequent reboot ?

HTH Cheers,
Norm.
