Hi Tim,

you can query the field "program" in the view sys.v$session to see, which program the connected clients are using.

To prevent clients from using unwanted tools, it should be possible to set a trigger on v$session, query that field and kill unwanted sessions.

But be careful not to kill to much ;-)
You better first test it in a test environment.
