getConnection() fails (Tyrex & Oracle 8.1.7)

Hello,

We are using Exolab Tyrex 1.0 to manage distributed connections on an Oracle 8.1.7 DB in a JSP/servlet/Tomcat based application.

Sometimes the getConnection() times out. The number of connections in the Oracle pool seems large enough.

The time out is set to 60 seconds.

Any idea ?

We would appreciate any suggestions (Tyrex conf, Oracle conf, Java code ... ??).
