Which is the best choice, Oracle8i or Oracle9i for Oracle11i App?

Hi all,



I am in dilemma now, our oracle app implementor suggest us to use the
oracle 8i for the database. As long as i know the oracle 8i will be
desupport by oracle corp. after 31 dec 2003.



For other information, we bought 2 servers Sun SPARC machine, one for
the database and one for the application server.



Do you have any suggestions for me which is the best for us, to use
the oracle8i or oracle9i?



Does anyone have similar problem like me?
