Hi Daniel,

Tom Kyte's oft recommended book has an excellent chapter on tracing using SQL_TRACE, TKPROFF and 10046 events. Most entertaining and enlightening. It worked for me.

Unfortunately, I'm not withing 20 miles of said book (it's at home) so I can't give you chapter and verse I'm afraid.

Looking for a good source I can point my students to with respect to tracing.
Something more tutorial with step-by-step than the standard otn documents.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
